Jonathan Chan received his Doctorate of Jurisprudence (J.D.) from Boston University School of Law in 2014. He previously obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Irvine, graduating with Honors and was recognized by Pi Sigma Alpha (the Political Science Honor Society).
Mr. Chan has advised businesses and individuals on various disputes, ranging from misappropriation of trade secret to breach of contract. With experience in both federal and California court, he has worked on cases against individuals, corporate entities, and counties. He has drafted and opposed various types of pleadings, ranging from drafting motions for summary judgment to motions for reconsideration.
Mr. Chan also has years of experience with legal issues commonly involved in daily business operations, especially employment matters, real property matters, and business transactions. He has worked on many types of matters involving contracts, including drafting and negotiating contracts, tailoring each contract to address each of the client’s needs to avoid potential pitfalls.
While we believe that litigation should be avoided in the best interests of both parties, Mr. Chan is well-prepared to assist each client in the litigation process should it be deemed necessary.
